  • In the UK, you are less likely to see a woman, a disabled person, a person over the age of 65, a person from a BAME or a lower socio-economic background, cycling. The recommendations of this paper are designed to support people in local government and the transport sector including designers, planners, engineers and decision makers make cycling a more inclusive activity for everyone. It is a call for people working in this the transport sector across the UK to ensure cycling is inclusive and helps address wider inequality within cities and towns.
